The "Special Lady"

Although many aspects of the travel business have changed in the past 23 years, the "constants" have made Carolina Tours what is is today!  Carolina Tours is Ingrid Long and her innate kindness, caring attitude and determination to make each tour "special" directly contributes to the company's continued success.  With 23 years in the travel industry as owner of Carolina Tours, Ingrid is experienced in planning tours and frequently serves as Tour Director on many of the tours provided by her company.  Ingrid says, "I love people and I love what I do! I want Carolina Tours to remain a 'small' company with a 'big' heart. I want each tour to be 'special' and all travelers to know that they are indeed 'special' to me!"

Linda Hoffman

Linda "H" became a member of the Carolina Tours team in 2004 after her retirement from State Government. Before that, she had taken many trips with Carolina Tours. Linda "H" works in the office and also serves as a Tour Director when needed. She is totally committed to making sure everyone feels special and that things go as planned. She indicates her biggest challenge to date as a Tour Director was getting 180 travelers (4 motor coaches) to Jacksonville to board a cruise ship and returning home with everyone healthy and happy!

John Davis

Our Sports Director

John Davis is our "Sports Director."  We established this position about 3 years ago as a result of many requests for more "sports" tours.  John's natural enthusiasm for sports of all kinds makes him especially qualified to organize and direct baseball tours, football tours and race tours for sports enthusiasts throughout the state.  You have to meet John to appreciate this special ability to relate to each traveler on the motor coach!  He, too, has a knack for making you laugh!  John especially enjoys taking his group of race fans to the Daytona Pepsi 400 every year.

Janet Ringer

The Peanut Brittle Lady

Janet Ringer is a "volunteer" for Carolina Tours who brings a zest for life and an ability to "always see the glass as half full instead of half empty" to everything she does.  Janet is from Pomaria and acts as liaison for Carolina Tours to her part of the state...doing everything from taking reservations, setting up pickup points in the Upstate and even providing taxi service to the coach when needed!  Janet's real claim to fame is the "special treat" of peanut brittle she makes and brings on many tours...consequently earning her the title of "Peanut Brittle Lady!"

Rachel Long

New To The Team!

Introducing our newest member of the Carolina Tours’ family...Rachel Long.  Rachel joined us earlier in the year and, for many of you, has become a familiar voice on the telephone.  She is learning the business from ‘the ground up’ and has been a wonderful addition to our staff.  She has even escorted two of our one-day tours this fall.  We hope each of you will have the opportunity to meet Rachel in 2010. 

Our exciting news is that Rachel and David are expecting in May!  That’s right—we’re getting a baby!  We can hardly wait for this newest addition to the Long family...our first grandchild!
